Here are a few more pics of 'The good ship knit'. Thanks to everyone for your warm welcome during our stay in the harbour...the response we had was fantastic.
We ran a knit group during our stay, lots of people got involved and we created a seaside scene on the railings. Here's some photos of the fun we had...
She has arrived!! After a treacherous journey from Saltford to Bristol harbour (more on that soon!), The Good Ship Knit is all moored up outside The Arnolfini, where she will be until Wednesday. Come on down and have a look at our latest wooly work!
Our latest project ' The Knitted Boat' will be sailing into Bristol Harbour from Saltford on Friday 14th where she will be moored until Wednesday 19th October... come along and see all our knitters hard work. Bristol Harbour should be looking considerably more colourful and wooly very very soon...watch this space!!
Knitiffi has been working with a group of children from Luckwell School. The project brought together teachers, parents, grandparents and children - all were full of lots of energy and ideas resulting in our latest colourful wooly knit graffiti!!!
Our team of knitters are having a productive spring..... These chicks have been set free in Bristol and, after what looks like a lovely day out, they were hidden around College Green to put a spring smile upon unexpecting passers by!
The project is run by Natalie Jones a design student from Edinburgh, with a few months to go before graduating, she launched a world-wide campaign to spread joy and happiness in the form of knitted pom-pom's! Sending out 1000 pom pom packs around the world.
We received some packs and made our Bristol contribution, it was great fun to do...check out the link to see the rest of the project!
